Do you want the literal standard of a guitar icon, but with an elevated appearance?  Look no further than this Gibson Les Paul Standard Plus.  It features a rather stunning flame maple top in a Light Burst finish.  We've had some impressive Les Paul's here over the years but this one really stands out.  Built in 2001, this guitar is everything you want from a Les Paul with the bonus of its high-grade figured plus top. 

Les Pauls are known for their classic tone wood combination of a solid mahogany back paired with a highly figured plus maple top. You get the best of warm resonance with the additional snap and articulation. The single-cut body has a set mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard adorned with trapezoid inlays.   It features a '60s slim taper neck profile - this gives you a comfortable, fast, and smooth playing experience.
 

This Les Paul brings you the gloriously rich humbucking tones that are perfect for any style of playing. You get a 490R in the neck and a 490T in the bridge. These pickups provide thick tones and really shine with gain. With individual volume and tone controls for each pickup and 3-way selector, it's incredibly easy to find your favorite sounds. 

 

All the classic hardware is here with its stopbar tailpiece, tune-o-matic bridge, and big button Grover tuners.  The previous removed the pickguard, and we chose to keep it that way to help show off the top, but the pickguard is included in the case.  Speaking of the case, the guitar comes with the original hardshell case.
