The Grand Pacific body shape was born from master guitar designer Andy Powers' desire to craft a guitar that sounded like the acoustics from the vintage recordings he loved as a kid. The Builder's Edition 517e is a beautiful culmination of that effort, a round-shoulder dreadnought that generates a seasoned, blended tone with clear low-end power. Solid back and sides of neo-tropical mahogany add midrange presence and focus, while the V-Class bracing supercharges the tonal response with greater power and sustain. As a member of the Builder's Edition family from Taylor, this 517e also includes a set of player-friendly features that provide an almost seamless playing experience, such as chamfered body edges and a compound carve neck profile.
